TULSA, Oklahoma -

The man who has sexually assaulted six women in the past two weeks, struck again Friday morning. The Tulsa Police Department has now created a city-wide task force to capture him.

It was his second attack in the past 24 hours and the second one at an apartment complex near 45th and South Peoria; the victim was 79.

We've had viewers ask us what sexual gratification the man gains from rubbing against women, in this case preying on women in their 60s and 70s. Call Rape said sexual assaults are not about how a victim looks or dresses, but about power.

Donna Matthews, with DVIS/Call Rape, said, "It is not about sex. It's about having power and control over someone, proving you are more powerful than that person, and you can do whatever you want to do. That's what it's all about, not the sex at all."

Call Rape said they see victims ranging from two weeks old to 90 years old.

About 400 people a year undergo sexual assault exams in Tulsa. Those exams are performed in a private room at Hillcrest by a specially trained nurse.

Call Rape offers a number of counseling services for victims and their families, to help them gain back that control.

Molly and Joy are neighbors in the area where two of the sexual assaults happened, so they've been on high alert.

That's why when they saw a strange man in their yard Wednesday night, they took special notice.

"I saw him in the yard, by the garage door and by the front door, then crossing my yard back toward the street," Molly said.

It was so strange, Joy's husband followed the man, from a safe distance, as the man zig-zagged through the streets until he got to a library, went inside and logged onto a computer.

Her husband got a detailed description of the man and gave it to police.

"I don't know if this gentleman was the guy, but it's something that definitely needs to be looked into," she said.

Police said this is the type of awareness they want all citizens to have right now while this predator is on the loose.

His sixth attack happened at 3 a.m. Friday at a Tulsa Apartment complex. He told the woman he had a knife and would cut her if she didn't cooperate. He rubbed his body against hers and made lewd comments before leaving.

Police said they will not stand for a predator making women feel unsafe in this city, especially not in their own homes.

"We're not going to rest until we get this individual into custody," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.

Police are walking and driving all the areas on the attack zones and ask citizens to take notice of suspicious people or sounds and call police. They also said to make your house or apartment as secure as you possibly can. Locks, door stops and alarm systems armed when you're home and away.

Two things are making the man difficult to catch; he's hit in several different neighborhoods and the victims really can't give a good description of him because it happens in the dark, they're traumatized and terrified and he almost always has his face hidden with a hoodie.
