Overnight Thunderstorms Possible In Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Some good chances are heading our way for the overnight. This will come in the form of a line of thunderstorms with lots of lightning and very heavy rains.

The severe weather will mainly be confined to the threat of damaging winds and maybe some small hail. Rainfall amounts will range from .25" to over 2 inches in some isolated areas, that may get hit with the stronger storms.

However, with the ongoing drought and Oklahoma still being nearly 5 inches below normal for the year, we need more rain.

The pattern this week looks very favorable for some more rain in the rain bucket.
