OKLAHOMA CITY - Officials say a man assaulted his ex-roommate at a gas station in northwest Oklahoma City, Saturday morning. The fight started over a stolen TV.

The fight broke out around 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Circle K, located on N.W. 23rd Street.

According to police, a witness reported seeing two males fighting in the gas station parking lot. She told police she saw the suspect throw his bike at the victim's car, breaking the windshield and the front and back driver's side windows.

The suspect was later identified as 44-year-old Lupe Venegas.

The investigating officer spoke with the victim, who was treated by EMSA for minor injuries. The victim told police he lived with Venegas for a short time and was threatened over a TV.

According to the crime report, the victim said he had just stepped out of his car at the gas station when he saw Venegas get off his bike and walk towards him, while yelling threatening comments. He said Venegas then punched him in the mouth, threw his bike at the car, bit him in the armpit and hit him in the head with a metal, cigarette butt can.

Police say Venegas led officers on a foot pursuit, which resulted in his arrest.

Venegas was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Malicious Injury and Destruction of Property and Obstructing an Officer. His bonds are set at $6,500 each.
