The rapidly growing social network just for Moms, Moms.com is a place of happy motherhood
LONG BEACH, Calif., June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Last month, on Mother's day, we at Moms.com decided that one day to honor our moms just wasn't enough. We think that moms deserve a whole month and we wanted to show them that we see them and celebrate them.
We announced our first ever Moms Moments Contest. For 30 days, we encouraged our moms to share and post a special and happy moment of their day. Moments shared ranged from first pictures of a newborn babies toes to a 4th grade academic award. We had first sonograms, pregnancy tests, first signs of baby bumps and even marriage proposals. Any moment that showed the truest happy moments in motherhood.
Each day a moment was declared the winner, but aside from our moms receiving prizes, we found something else happened. Something bigger. Something better.
More than 2,500 moments were shared from moms all over the country; moms from small towns to big cities connected, came together, supported one another and found a camaraderie that moms so desperately need.
Not only did the winners take home prizes, but their moments brought some much needed humor and warmth in showing that the happiest moments aren't so obvious. Sometimes the joy in motherhood is not in the perfect moments but in the messiest ones.
Our community of 12,000 registered users is quickly growing and becoming the place for a happy motherhood. There are 6,128 children amongst our moms whose experience in parenting ranges from first time pregnancy to seasoned mom of 10! The camaraderie and support that our moms give to one another is so craved and needed by moms these days.
Moms need friends, they need other moms and at Moms.com, we've created an online community where they can share, laugh, cry, chat and learn just as if they were sitting together at the backyard or taking a walk on the park.
Motherhood can be lonely sometimes, but at Moms.com, you're never alone and you're always understood. Finding other moms just like you can make everything all better.
Moms.com is the place for a happy motherhood.
