ESPN's Chris Broussard is reporting that Miami Heat president Pat Riley is interested in acquiring Thunder center Kendrick Perkins.
Broussard says Miami intends to "make a run" at the 29-year-old Perkins. The Thunder big man is scheduled to make $9.15 million next season; the final year of his contract.
Miami is in need of frontcourt depth and an increased focus on interior defense. Perkins averaged 3.4 points and 4.9 rebounds last season for the Thunder.
