VINITA, Oklahoma -

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has told troopers to be on the look out for a police impersonator who reportedly robbed a man Thursday in Newton County, Missouri.

The man was last seen driving southbound on Highway 43 headed toward Seneca, Missouri, according to OHP dispatch in Vinita.

The Newton County Sheriff's Office says the man was driving a blue four-door car with lights and a siren. The victim pulled over, thinking he was being stopped by a police officer.

A man dressed in a blue uniform with a silver badge and carrying a weapon asked the driver for his wallet, took his money and drove off.

KOAM reports that the robber is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5'10" and 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue uniform with a silver badge and some kind of utility belt.
