TU's Foxworth Named To Rimington Watch List

Tulsa center Dylan Foxworth is one of 66 candidates named to the Rimington Award Fall Watch List, an honor given to the nation’s top offensive center. Foxworth was recognized for the award when the Spring Watch List was released in May, and remains on the fall list.

Two players were added from the spring list to reach the number of 66 for the Fall Watch List.

Foxworth, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound sophomore from Claremore started eight of 12 games at center last year as a red-shirt freshman for the Golden Hurricane. Foxworth saw his first career action in a reserve role last year against Bowling Green in the season opener.

Before coming to Tulsa, Foxworth was a three-year starting center at Claremore High School.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football. Since its inception, the Rimington Trophy has raised over $2.5 million for the cystic fibrosis community. The fourteen-year old award is overseen by the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which is committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and has raised over $100 million for CF Research.

Dave Rimington, the award's namesake, was a consensus first-team All-America center at the University of Nebraska in 1981 and 1982, during which time he became the John Outland Trophy's only double winner as the nation's finest college interior lineman.
