ADAIR COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is gathering information after an Adair County man was found dead in his home.

According to a news release, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance after a neighbor found the body of Wayne Lee Winterholm in Winterholm's Watts home Sunday.

The OSBI said trauma to the body of the 71-year-old leads agents to believe he was a victim of a homicide. The OSBI said agents are gathering information to determine a timeline of events leading up to Winterholm’s death. The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

They ask anyone with information to call OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
