MAYES COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Adair was hit with a one-two punch Monday. Weeks after a small tornado touched down, 70 mile per hour winds ripped through town, downing trees and damaging structures.

John Janzen with Mayes County Emergency Management, said, "From about the county line between Craig and Mayes County, all the way through Adair and down towards Pryor."

Dustin Watkins manages the 69 Diner which was dented by debris from what was the roof next door.

"A storm just rolled in, the wind picked up and we just started getting phone calls that we needed to come and check out the diner," Watkins said.

The owner of the now damaged diner has another building, beaten by the recent tornado.

He said the diner will be closed Tuesday, while he and others pick up damage, a job made more difficult by major power outages that went across the county.

PSO reported 1,100 customers were without power until it was restored Monday night.

“It's really frustrating but just gotta get it going again and fix it," Watkins said.
