News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says temperatures will climb in the upper 90s Tuesday and Wednesday and combined with high humidity, heat index values could reach 105 to 110 degrees.

The heat advisory includes Chautauqua and Montgomery counties in southeast Kansas and Craig, Creek, Mayes, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Wagoner and Washington counties in Oklahoma.

Crone says a cold front will approach the area Wednesday bringing with it a slight chance for showers and a few thunderstorms and high temperatures in the lower 90s by Thursday.
