Police are searching for a suspect accused of breaking into a northwest Oklahoma City residence and robbing and assaulting an elderly woman, Friday afternoon.

Police are still searching for a suspect accused of breaking into a northwest Oklahoma City residence and robbing and assaulting an elderly woman, Friday afternoon.

According to Oklahoma City police, officers responded to the call at 1:50 p.m. in the 3000 block of Hickory Stick Road.

Police say a victim in her 80's was robbed and assaulted. They say the suspect stole her car, an early 1990's blue Oldsmobile, and then dumped it near N. May Avenue and Tealwood Drive.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing black clothes. Police said the suspect rode a Schwinn mountain bike to the woman's home.

Police told News 9 the elderly victim is stable at a local hospital.
