Kevin Durant spoke to media members on Tuesday as he and the rest of Team USA continues to prepare for the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Durant made headlines by praising LeBron James for his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavs, calling it “well-thought-out” and “classy,” in an article originally written by Bleacher Report. Durant specifically lauded James, who was born and raised in Ohio, for returning to his roots to play for his hometown fans.

His positive opinions toward James’ decision prompted a further conversation, specifically about Durant’s future. The Washington, D.C. native has been constantly asked about whether he plans on following in James’ footsteps when his contract is over after the 2015-16 season.

"You've got to look at all your options,” Durant told reporters. “You can never close the door on anything. I like where I'm at right now."

The thought of Durant taking his talents to the nation’s capital became even more realistic when James departed a championship situation in Miami for a losing organization in Cleveland.

"Every time I go on Instagram or Twitter, all my friends ask me about it,” Durant said of the chatter. “So I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm naive to the fact that people think about that stuff. But I just tell everybody, 'Look, I'm here in Oklahoma City. I love it here. Who knows what'll happen?'"

Durant did imply that if the Thunder could win a title or two, leaving might be that much harder.

"Two years straight, that would be cool,” Durant said. “It would definitely be tough to do anything. That's one of those things where you're building a dynasty now; you win two in a row."

The Wizards made large strides last season, improving to 44-38 and reaching the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
