Chickasha Man Arrested For Possession of Child Pornography

A Chickasha man was arrested Wednesday on complaints of possession of child pornography.

The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force arrested 59-year-old Laurence F. Thompson in Grady County on two counts of possession of child pornography, one count of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The task force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Thompson’s online storage account contained images of child pornography, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

Investigators say a warrant was granted to search Thompson’s online storage account, where they uncovered more than 3,000 images of child pornography.

The Attorney General’s Office says they will continue to investigate to determine whether any local children are in the images found in Thompson’s possession.
