EDMOND, Oklahoma -

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an Edmond school bus driver who is accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy, and possessing and distributing explicit photos of children.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the victim told authorities that 32-year-old Scott Keith Jepson touched him inappropriately on two separate occasions on the same day. The victim said it happened in the summer of 2013 at his home in Luther.

On Friday, July 25, deputies served a warrant at Jepson’s home in Logan County, and seized his cell phone. Deputies said they recovered explicit photos of children from Jepson’s cell phone via an email account.

According to the Sheriff's office, on three separate occasions, Jepson also emailed the photos to other individuals.

On Wednesday, Jepson was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple charges, including lewd acts to a child under 16, possessing child porn, and distributing child porn.

According to school officials, Jepson has been employed as a bus driver with Edmond Public Schools since 2006. For all but the first year of his employment, he drove Bus #82 and transported students who attend North High School, Cheyenne and Summit Middle Schools and Sunset, Ida Freeman and John Ross Elementary Schools. At this time, he is still employed with the district.

Edmond Public Schools released the the following statement,

"The allegations against Edmond school bus driver Scott Jepson are very disturbing. The district is deeply troubled by the idea that one of our drivers could possibly be involved in this type of revolting behavior. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation as well as conducting our own investigation into this matter. Although there has never been a single complaint concerning Jepson’s behavior with students, we will make every effort to contact the parents of the students on his bus route-beginning with last year-to make them aware of his arrest and to encourage them to contact authorities if they suspect that their child is a victim. Providing a safe and secure environment for all students is of utmost importance to Edmond Public Schools."
