Showers and thunderstorms powered through northern Oklahoma Friday morning and left some beneficial rainfall totals in its wake.

A cluster of 1.3" to 1.6" fell from Buffalo to Woodward to Freedom. Storm Tracker Marty Logan reported 2.6" in Fort Supply, which is just NW of Woodward. Stillwater also picked up a lot of rain, reporting nearly 2 inches, most of which fell in less than an hour.

Clouds will hang around for a while Friday morning before clearing in the afternoon, giving way to more 90s and 100s. A weak front will setup across the state, separating mid 90s from upper 90s and lower 100s.

Additional showers and storms will be possible Friday afternoon, mainly across northern Oklahoma. We may also have more scattered showers and storms tonight into early Saturday morning.

Through the weekend, you can expect scattered showers and storms each afternoon. North and central Oklahoma will have the best chance of seeing those storms. By Monday, chances for scattered storms will shift into southern Oklahoma. High temperatures will drop into the lower 90s as we head through next week.
