ODOT Reopens Lewis Avenue At I44

There’s good news for Tulsa drivers who have been waiting for Lewis Avenue to reopen at Interstate 44; it finally is.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reopened the north and southbound lanes Friday at the I44 junction.

That stretch of road has been closed since October of 2012.

Crews also opened the westbound I44 on-ramp from Lewis.

All of the lanes on the westbound frontage road between Harvard and Peoria are also open, but the westbound I44 off-ramp to Lewis will stay closed for now.
