Owasso Police have made an arrest in a bank robbery and bomb threat. Steve Auten is suspected of robbing the IBC Bank on North Garnett Saturday afternoon.

Auten, a 30-year-old Owasso resident, had part of the money when arrested, police say. A tip from a Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputy helped authorities learn his identity, according to an arrest report.

Owasso Police learned Auten was attending a church baptism service, and the deputy helped them "lure" Auten into the parking lot where he reportedly agreed to a search of his home and vehicle, the report states.

During questioning, police say Auten admitted to the crime and showed police the clothes, duffle bag and other items used in the robbery. Authorities say he also still had about $300 in cash, saying he had spent most of the bank's money on his rent and to pay his sister some money he owed her.

The Tulsa Bomb Squad came out after the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. There was no bomb.

Auten is currently in the Tulsa County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
