The Iowa Cubs shut out the Oklahoma City RedHawks 3-0 on Monday to win their first series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since 2010 in front of a crowd of 3,882.

Four I-Cubs pitchers combined to hold the RedHawks to four hits and hand Oklahoma City its first shutout loss since July 25 at Nashville. Iowa recorded its league-leading 13th shutout of the season.

Iowa (66-58) won the five-game series, 3-2, giving the I-Cubs their first series win in Oklahoma City since they won three of four games July 31-Aug. 3, 2010.

The RedHawks (62-62) fell to four games out of first place in the American Northern Division standings with the loss.

Iowa starting pitcher Dan Straily (7-6) held the RedHawks to just two hits over six scoreless innings. He walked three and struck out four in the win. Pitchers Zac Rosscup, Armando Rivero and Blake Parker followed and combined to allow two hits and strike out five RedHawks batters.

The I-Cubs scored two runs in the top of the first inning.

Iowa's Matt Szczur singled to lead off the game, then stole second and third base. He scored on a grounder to center field by Logan Watkins.

Jorge Solar hit a RBI double to center field with one out to give the I-Cubs a 2-0 advantage.

In the top of the ninth, Szczur connected on his second single of the night and drove in Iowa's third run.

Ronny Torreyes led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a single for the RedHawks and has now hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games. Parker then retired the next three RedHawks batters to end the game and earn his league-leading 23rd save of the season.

Alex White (2-5) pitched 6.0 innings for the RedHawks, allowing two runs on five hits. He did not issue a walk and struck out five. He retired the final seven batters he faced.

Matt Duffy, Andrew Aplin and Joe Sclafani each tallied hits for Oklahoma City.

Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler continued his rehab assignment and started in center field. He went 0-for-2 with a walk.

Oklahoma City finished its nine-game homestand with a 6-3 record.

The RedHawks open an eight-game West Coast road trip at 9:05 p.m. Central Tuesday in Fresno. After a four-game set in Fresno, the RedHawks play a four-game series in Sacramento.
