Vandals tag a neighborhood in Moore with crude, offensive graffiti.

The neighborhood playground got the brunt of the mess, and now police are investigating.

Neighbors believe the vandals are young and struck at random, overnight. From the looks of it, they spent a lot of time on the playground.

“It's our neighborhood. It's a good neighborhood," said HOA President, Brian Wiley. "We do our best to take care of it, and to see somebody come in and do damage to it, it's disheartening.”

Residents in the Apples housing addition in Moore woke up Thursday morning to graffiti. City stop signs, curbs, bricks in neighborhood entrances and even the streets were tagged.

“I want to catch these guys or persons, just mainly to get them to stop doing it," said Wiley. "It's causing us all responsible adults a problem.”

Wiley, like other homeowners in the addition off Broadway and 34th, aren't too happy about it, and there seems to be no pattern in the way the taggers are hitting city property.

“We all take care of our property and work hard to maintain it,” Wiley said.

“I saw tons of spray paint, and it was just really bad,” Wiley's nine-year-old son, Gabriel said.

Gabriel was one of the first to notice vulgar distasteful graffiti on the playground, Thursday afternoon.

"I thought, 'Oh my gosh, who did this? Who's going to clean it up,'" Gabriel said.

“There's kids and families here all the time, and this is kind of the heart of our community,” Wiley said.

“It's not cool,” Gabriel said.

Wiley says the city will begin trying to clean up the mess on Monday. He says a police report was filed.
