New Details In Deadly Double Shooting Southwest OKC

New information on a deadly shooting spree News 9 brought you last night at 10. We now know the woman who was shot has died, a man who was hurt remains in the hospital, and the man accused of pulling the trigger is in the Oklahoma County jail.

Carolyn Riggs, 20 is the woman who was shot and killed. Oklahoma City police say she was in a relationship with 25-year-old Ricky Lee Knowles, who police arrested at the scene and placed in jail for the shooting.

Police are not releasing the identity of the man who was shot, but neighbors say he was Knowles brother.

Bullet holes are visible on a door at the Oak Grove Apartments off SE 15th and I-44. They even went inside and hit some things inside the apartment.

Now, the people who live there say they are lucky that the children inside the apartment were not hit, but they are devastated to hear that someone died.

Those who live at the complex say neither of the victims lived at the Oak Grove apartments, but were visiting friends who had just lost a loved one and were in the process of planning the funeral.

News 9 went back to Riggs last known address and a neighbor confirms she did indeed live there and was shocked to hear the news.

“That's devastating,” said Amanda Waters, who had lived next door for the past three years. “I just can't believe that someone living next door to me is gone! That makes me feel unsafe. I know it did not happen next door, but just that it happened it's sad.”
