Police arrested a Tulsa man for assaulting a woman and her two children.

Officers said they responded to a domestic disturbance just before 4 p.m. Thursday as a woman was attempting to remove her and her children's belongings from an apartment where Cody Panther lived.

Both Panther and the woman told officers they were not needed, and the officers left.

According to the report, about ten minutes later officers received a second 911 call from the same address for a domestic disturbance involving a knife.

When officers arrived, they said the woman was outside with her two children. She told officers that when they left, Panther slammed the door, laughed and asked her what she was going to do.

She said Panther followed her into the bedroom, yelled at her and hit her in the face with a ball that had spikes on it that “usually hung on the wall.”

The report says the woman's son then ran into the room and yelled, “daddy stop.” The woman said Panther shoved the boy into the wall, the grabbed her daughter by the hair and threw her across the floor.

Then, according to the woman, Panther returned to the bedroom, grabbed her by the hair and threw her out of the apartment. She said that's when she called 911.

Officers said both the woman and son had visible injuries and that the daughter said, “her daddy grabbed her by the hair and threw her.”

Panther is being held on $100,000 bond for domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of child abuse.
