Multiple Injuries After Collision On Interstate 44 Near 129th East Avenue

Troopers say traffic had slowed because of an earlier wreck further east of the collision. The Mustang was stopped in the inside lane of Interstate 44.

Tulsa emergency responders were on scene at a four-vehicle wreck. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at least three were injured in the rush hour crash on eastbound Interstate 44 at 129th East Avenue Friday afternoon.

Officials say a 2014 Ford Raptor, 2001 Ford Mustang, 2013 Chevrolet Cruze and 2009 Chevrolet HHR were headed eastbound on I44 when the mustang, Cruze and HHR slowed for traffic.

They said the Raptor didn't see the other vehicles slow and hit the Mustang causing a chain effect where both vehicles to crash into the Cruze which then crashed into the HHR..

Reports say Roberto Sandoval Gamboa and two juveniles were trapped inside the Mustang for an unknown amount of time until the were rescued by members of the Tulsa Fire Department.

Gamboa, 33 from Catoosa, was taken to the hospital and admitted with head injuries. The 15-year-old male was treated for head injuries and released and the 16-year-old female was admitted in critical condition with head, arm leg and internal injuries.

Kevin Fisher, 51 was driving the Raptor and was not injured.

The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, Casey Cole, 32 and Angela Wigley, 25, driver of the HHR were not injured either.

Officials said seatbelts were equipped in all vehicles.

The crash is still under investigation.
