Our second-to-last weekend in August and it will be the hottest one yet!
High temperatures will rise into the upper 90s and lower 100s across the entire state. Heat index values, especially in eastern Oklahoma, could rise as high as 108° this weekend. Find a way to stay cool and go inside to cool off if you get too hot!
Rain chances will stay in far western Oklahoma and in the panhandle this afternoon and tomorrow.
Looking ahead during the last full week of August, high temperatures will slowly come down into Wednesday as moisture starts increasing. A cold front will move into the state Wednesday into Thursday, bringing some below normal temperatures and chances for showers and storms. A nice cool down for the last several days of August.
In case you're wondering, fall begins on Monday, September 22. Those nights keep getting longer.
