First stylish companion smartwatch that successfully delivers simplicity, affordability and style
ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Quality One Wireless, a global leader in wireless distribution, and Omate, a leader in telecom wearable software design, announced today a partnership whereby Quality One will bring Omate X companion smartwatch devices to market in North and Latin America. The Omate X follows the successful launch of the TrueSmart, a first-of-a-kind standalone smartwatch 2.0. Able to act as a companion to both Android and iOS smartphones, the Omate X is at the forefront of affordable, smart, wearable lifestyle products.
The Omate X companion smartwatch is able to push notifications such as incoming calls, social media updates, messages, reminders, and more to your wrist. Powerful enough to last up to a week in standby mode, it can be controlled by talking to it. The smartwatch includes a minimalistic design with a slim metal housing and users can customize the Omate X with standard size watch straps. The Omate X sports a MediaTek Aster – MT2502 – the smallest wearable system-on-chip (5.4x6.2x1.0mm) currently on the market.
"Consumers are looking for longer battery life, greater functionality and style; they don't want an expensive tech-gadget or a cheap fitness-accessory," said Laurent Le Pen - CEO of Omate. "Quality One Wireless, with its established distribution team and relationships with carriers and retailers in North and Latin America, will help us meet this consumer request and achieve our goal to make the world connected through your wrist."
"This agreement reflects Quality One's strong pledge to bring the latest wireless technology to our partners and consumers. Omate is dedicated to building solutions for the wearable computing industry, and we're pleased to provide carriers and retailers with advanced solutions that meet the needs of consumers," said John Chiorando, Quality One's chief executive officer.
The Omate X will be available at CTIA Super Mobility Week, September 9 – 11 in Quality One Wireless booth 3223.
