Tulsa Police Gilcrease Division investigators have released a photo of a man who stole prescription medication from a wheelchair-bound assisted living resident.

Police say the theft took place at 12:45 p.m. August 7, 2014, at Heritage Landing Assisted Living Apartments, 3102 East Apache Street.

The man walked into the facility and offered to help a resident fix their wheelchair, according to TPD.

"While pretending to help the victim, the suspect grabbed two prescription bottles containing medication from the victim's hand and ran out of the facility," TPD posted on their Facebook page.

Police say the resident in the wheelchair tried to follow the man, who ran from the apartment complex and got into a black pickup.
