Man Arrested In OKC On Child Molestation Charges

Oklahoma City police arrested a man who is accused of molesting a young girl and exposing himself to her. 

According to police, on August 11, officers responded to a child molestation report at an apartment in the 12800 block of Stratford Drive. A 12-year-old girl said that the suspect, 32-year-old Gary Smith, had been molesting her.

The victim’s grandmother said she noticed that Smith had been getting close to the victim and whispering into her ear. The victim reportedly told the grandmother that Smith had been exposing himself to her, and he had been touching her more than he should.

The grandmother told police that Smith would invite the victim to his room when he’s naked. She said the victim also told her that Smith would pull down her pants to discipline her.

On Thursday, August 28, Smith was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple charges, including two counts of indecent exposure, two counts of lewd acts with a child, two counts of violation of VPO, and stalking.
