The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes near Enid, Sunday.
A 3.7 magnitude earthquake was reported at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, 14 miles north, northwest of Enid and 50 miles west of Ponca City. The depth was over three miles.
The second quake, a 3.4 magnitude, was reported at 11:57 a.m. The epicenter was 14 miles north, northwest of Enid and 48 miles west of Ponca City, at a depth of over one mile.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
