The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes near Perry, Thursday evening.
A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was reported at 6:02 p.m., eight miles southwest of Perry and 19 miles west, northwest of Stillwater. The depth was less than one mile.
The second earthquake, a 3.5 magnitude, was reported at 6:32 p.m., eight miles southwest of Perry and 20 miles west, northwest of Stillwater. It was recorded as over one mile deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
