The Tulsa Fire Department had to put out a engine fire in one of its own fire trucks early Friday.
The truck and firefighters had responded to a medical call at the QuikTrip at 21st and Memorial just before 3:30 a.m. While firefighters were inside the store, a small fire broke out under the truck's hood.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly with a canister of water.
The fire department says the truck which is primarily used for medical calls had to be towed away. None of the medical equipment on the truck was damaged and no one was injured.
