An Oklahoma City man is once again a proud father, but he probably never knew he'd have to deliver the baby by himself.

Luna is Elias Pando's third child.

“I have a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy,” said Pando.

But that doesn't mean he knows anything about delivering babies. On Monday, the day of the super moon, Luna wasn't waiting. The contractions were coming quickly and Elias was rushing home from work.

“My mom's having a baby,” the 12-year-old told the 911 operator.

“The oldest was on the phone with 911 already and I went to the restroom and she was on the ground and I saw the little head,” recalls Pando.

Pando came home from work just in time to deliver his daughter. It was just about that time that Paramedics Madison White and Kacie Davis were arriving on the scene.

“Our patients are always surprised to see us when we walk up,” said White.

And they're a bit of an unusual duo.

“I'm due in eight weeks and Kacie's due about the same time,” said White.

On Tuesday they were back at the hospital checking in on Mom, Dad and little Luna. Everyone is healthy and fine. Elias and mom are mostly un-phased.

“Everything happened so fast,” said Pando.

But the two pregnant paramedics can't necessarily say the same.

“It is something that's coming soon yeah,” said Davis. “A little scary to think you could just have it on your bathroom floor at your house.”

Madison and Kacie say they asked to work together so they would be on maternity leave at the same time and their partners wouldn't have to work with anyone else.
