Rock-N-Rib Fest Kicks Off Weekend Of Downtown Fun

A mouth-watering event is kicking off on Thursday night in downtown Tulsa.

Some of the best barbecue pitmasters around are in town -- with all their trophies in tow -- for the sixth annual Rock-N-Rib Festival.

In addition to all the great food, you can watch cooking demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment and a whole lot more.

The Rock-N-Rib Festival has become a Tulsa tradition. Six teams from across the country will be cooking up their award-winning barbecue ribs, beef and chicken recipes. The festival runs until midnight tonight and again Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Over the four-day event you can try your luck on a mechanical bull, listen to 14 regional bands, run in a 5K and there's a kids zone for the little ones with painting and inflatables.
