Kajal Parmar gave the Tulsa women's soccer team a 3-2 double-overtime win over USF on Thursday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved to 7-3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the American Athletic Conference, while the Bulls fell to 5-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.

“I thought we came out really strong,” Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. “But after our goal, I don't think we let up, it was like we woke a sleeping giant. We made some adjustments at half time and stuck to our game plan the whole time. I am proud of the resilience and heart that our kids showed tonight.”

Lauren King put the Golden Hurricane on the board with just 18:02 ticked off the clock as she fought her way up the middle and punched one in from 12 yards out. This was King's fourth goal of the season.

Olivia Chance tied it up for USF in the 35th minute, and then Kate Loye gave the Bulls the go-ahead goal at the 49:00 mark.

Darienne Chapman tallied her first goal of the season and second of her career to tie the game at 2-all with just 1:21 left in regulation and force overtime. The goal was scored as Roman Edwards took a free kick, Rachel Thun headed the ball and Chapman knocked it in.

Parmar's game-winning goal came at the 105:22 mark off a pass from Thun. Her goal, which was scored from 12 yards out, was the first of her career.

USF had a 14-10 lead in shots, while the Hurricane had a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal, and the Bulls had a 5-4 lead in corner kicks.

King had a team-best three shots, two of which were on goal, while Thun and Parmar added two attempts. Courtney McKeon logged all 105:22 between the posts and collected three saves.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 28th against 23rd-ranked UCF. Game time is set for 1:00 pm at the Hurricane Stadium.
