Gunshots That Stopped Suspect Heard On 911 Call From Vaughan Foods

At 4:05 p.m. Thursday, dispatchers answered the first 911 call about the rampage inside Vaughan Foods in Moore.

At 4:05 p.m. Thursday, dispatchers answered the first 911 call about the rampage inside Vaughan Foods in Moore.

Moore police released the 911 call Friday afternoon, and the gunshots that stopped the suspect can be heard on the recording.

The following is the recorded conversation from the 911 call:

Caller:  “SHUT THE DOOR”.

“WE HAVE SOMEONE ATTACKING SOMEONE IN THE BUILDING. I WAS JUST INFORMED.”

Operator: “OKAY, WHERE ARE THEY AT?

Caller: “INSIDE, ARE THE IN THE OFFICE? THEY'RE IN THE OFFICE, THE FRONT OFFICE OF THE BUILDING.”

(2) Vaughn Foods stabbing 911-2 09252014 1605 hrs

Caller: “WE CAN HEAR A LOT OF SCREAMING. WE'RE ACTUALLY IN A DIFFERENT OFFICE.”

Operator: “DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE AT IN THE BUILDING?”

Caller: “WE'VE HEARD THREE. NOW I'M HEARING SOMEONE ELSE YELLING IN THE HALLWAY ‘STAY DOWN'.

Operator: “BE ADVISED THERE'S SOMEONE ELSE YELLING IN THE HALLWAY”

Caller: “STAY DOWN STAY DOWN.”

According to police, former employee Alton Nolen beheaded one victim, 54-year-old Colleen Hufford.

While Nolen was stabbing a second victim, 43-year-old Traci Johnson, police said off-duty reserve deputy Mark Vaughan responded to the scene and fired shots at Nolen, ending the attack.

Johnson and Nolen were still in the hospital as of Friday afternoon.
