News On 6's WARN Interactive Radar tracked a line of thunderstorms moving across Osage County into southeast Kansas early Wednesday.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone said the storms moved northeast into southeast Kansas and only a few showers were reported near the Tulsa area.

Crone says for the rest of Wednesday, the chance for thunderstorms in the Tulsa area will increase slightly with most of the activity along the Oklahoma-Kansas state line where some storms may turn severe.

Crone says all this rain is ahead of a strong cold front which is moving out of Colorado and will impact Oklahoma Thursday. That cold front dropped snow across the Rockies.

Crone says as the front enters Oklahoma, some of those storms may be severe with hail and wind the main threats. Temperatures behind the cold front will drop into the 70's Thursday afternoon after hitting highs in the lower 80s through the noon hour. He says Friday morning temps will drop into the lower 50s with northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph.
