Sapulpa Dentists Give Back To Community With Free Dental Work

A Sapulpa dentist's office hoped it put smiles on a lot of people's faces Saturday. 

The staff at Complete Cosmetic Care Dentistry on South Yukon spent the day doing free dental work for anyone walking through the door. In all, they helped about 30 people with a wide range of dental work. All that work added up to about $11,000 and it was all free. 

Abbey Shaw left the dentist's office with a very big smile.

"I think everyone likes a free teeth cleaning," said Abbey Shaw.

Shaw says she has insurance, but that even with coverage, sometimes the cost of caring for your health can add up and even more so for those that don't have insurance.

"Your teeth are very important, and I feel like that's one of the parts that gets ignored if you don't have coverage," said Abbey Shaw.

That is why Dr. Delia Georgy and her husband Dr. Mohanna decided to host a free dental day at their Sapulpa where they offered free cleanings, extractions and fillings.

"We want to give back to the community, I mean the community has done so much for us and it's also a chance to get to know everybody and extend services to people who can't really financially afford treatment that they need that they're going to have to wait for months and years and however long it takes to get them out so we're just trying to help out," said Dr. Delia Georgy.

And they've been helping out for two years now. It is a tradition they hope to continue every year.

"If you notice everybody that comes and volunteers is very happy and it's just the overall feel of today is something that we really, really enjoy," said Dr. Delia Georgy.

And something patients are thankful too.

Another free dental day will be hosted by one of the dentists which volunteered in Sapulpa on Saturday. That event will be at Flawless Smile on Blue Starr Drive in Claremore on November 1, 2014.
