The all-time wins leader in school history hit another milestone victory as Southern Nazarene coach Kevin Ingram recorded his 300th career victory with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18) win against East Central.

“To hit 300 wins means I have been doing this a while,” Ingram said. “It's a tribute though to the players I have had over the years. I'm not the one stepping on the floor and playing the games. I have been very fortunate to have very talented players over the years and we've been successful a number of years. It's one thing to get players here and put them in position to win, but effort and competing is up to them. I am very thankful for the kids I've coached and where this program has come over the past 14 years.”

For the first time in three matches, the Crimson Storm (13-6, 6-3 GAC) and Tigers (3-19, 0-9 GAC) didn't go five sets. SNU made quick work of ECU, holding the Tigers to just a .034 clip. The Storm tied a season-high for blocks in a three-set win with 11 and Taylor Jacobs led the way with six. She also had 10 kills, nine digs and three aces. The win also snaps a two-match skid by the Storm.

“It felt like a big lull even though it was just two matches,” Ingram said. “We felt like we could have won both last week and just didn't think we played to potential. It was good tonight to come out and play solid in all aspects. McKayla played so well tonight and we passed as well as we have in weeks.”

McKayla Benner matched Jacob's 10 kills and hit .562 (10-1-16). She also had four blocks. Kaylee Piatt finished with 34 assists, eight digs and four blocks. Abbey Bell finished with 18 digs while Elyse Berlin had eight.
