A homeowner confronted two burglars in his house near 44th and Harvard early Saturday morning, according to Tulsa police. Corporal Scott Anderson said the Tulsa resident opened fire on the two men with a shotgun.

Police say the attempted burglary took place around 6:30 a.m. Sunday near Edison High School.

The homeowner, his wife and kids were in the house when two men reportedly broke in. They ran away after the man shot at them, but police were able to take them into custody a little later.

One of the suspects was stopped in a vehicle near 46th and Harvard, and the other man was arrested at the Shell station at 36th and Harvard, Anderson said.
