Muskogee Police: Man Found In Front Yard Shot In Chest

The Muskogee Police department is investigating a shooting in the 2400 block of Garland Street.

Reports said around 4:10 Monday afternoon, officers arrived at the home and found a man in the front yard of the home. They said he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said the victim, a 30-year-old black male, was transported by EMS to Eastar West Emergency room.

They said they are in the early stages of the investigation and are waiting for a warrant to search the home.

Officer said they aren't sure if the shooting took place inside the home or in the front yard.

No names, description of the shooter or information on the victim's condition have been released at this time.
