Tulsa city councilors took time Thursday night to recognize first responders.

Craig Murray served the city of Tulsa and its citizens with the highest level of professionalism.

Murray recently retired from the Tulsa Police Department after 35 years on the force. He's now the assistant police chief in Mounds.

Four EMSA paramedics were recognized for their life-saving work after an accident in January.

Two teenagers were critically hurt after their car was broadsided.

The paramedics took care of them on the way to the hospital, and doctors say that's why they're alive.
