Firefighters blame a heater motor for smoke inside an east Tulsa apartment complex Wednesday morning.

Tulsa firefighters went to the Sugar Plum Apartments in the 10100 block of East 32nd Street at about 6 a.m. on a report of smoke inside a building.

Firefighters said a resident turned on his heater for the first time and the fan motor caused some insulation to smoke.

No one was hurt.
