Four People Escape West Tulsa House Fire

No one was hurt when fire heavily damaged a two-story Tulsa home Thursday morning. 

The Tulsa Fire Department got the call after 10 a.m. in the 300 block of South Phoenix. Firefighters immediately went into defensive mode to keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes. 

They said three adults and one child made it out safely, but several cats inside did not.

Firefighters said the home is a total loss. They don't know what caused it yet.

Several police officers were on scene because an officer was the first person to notice the fire.
