Adults weren't the only ones with a chance to vote Tuesday, Tulsa Public School elementary students also let their voice be heard.

The kids at Carnegie Elementary in Tulsa weren't voting on anything like governor or senator, instead, they voted on lunch.

The enthusiastic voters were casting ballots for their favorite school lunches.

Carnegie principal, Robin Emerson said, “This gives them the option to participate in the democratic process and to have a say in something that means something to them."

Over the next few weeks the Child Nutrition Department will compile the results of the voting, and they said the students' favorite lunches will begin showing up more often no the menu.
