Garth Brooks announced he will be playing three shows at Tulsa's BOK Center in January, and prices are expected to stay low for everyone, at $70 a ticket.

Brooks and the BOK are also doing something a little different in Tulsa in an attempt to stop scalpers. For these shows, you won't need a ticket to get in, just your wallet.

Before Brooks belts out his world-famous hits at the BOK Center, he's performing in St. Louis and some of the tickets for those shows are going for hundreds of dollars.

Several are listed at $2,000 and one in the mezzanine is going for $11,000; the BOK Centers want's people to know that won't be happening in Tulsa.

"All tickets for the entire show are $70," said Sarah Haertl with the BOK Center.

Tulsa is trying ticketless entry for the 4,000 friends in low places down on the floor of the BOK Center. You won't need a ticket to get in, just your I.D. and the credit or debit card used to buy your seat.

But some, like Jarrod Wyatt, said that sounds like a hassle.

“You know, I'm used to the traditional ticket scan, you know, where they scan the barcode on the ticket," he said.

The point of ticketless entry is to stop scalpers and price gouging.

"If I live in New York City, then I'm not purchasing tickets to Garth Brooks in Tulsa and then putting them on Craigslist or StubHub and selling them because I would actually, physically, have to be here with a credit card," Haertl said.

She said ticketless entry is a growing trend in the music industry, especially for big shows, and Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are big names.

“It's the name that, you know, the BOK Center has definitely certainly been waiting to get," Wyatt said. "It would be the concert to try this method, for sure."

You can buy up to eight seats, but all eight of you will have to enter at the same time, with the same card.

If your card is lost or stolen before the show, take it up with the box office.

Tickets go on sale next Friday online or over the phone.
