Rescue crews in southwest Arkansas are searching for a Muldrow man who went missing while deer hunting on Poteau Mountain south of Fort Smith over the weekend.

The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Wylie Peters was last seen Sunday morning in the Poteau Mountain Wilderness area of the Ouachita National Forest. The sheriff's office says Peters was last seen at his deer camp on top of the mountain.  Searchers failed to find him on Monday.

The search resumed Tuesday for Peters who was last seen wearing a hunter orange vest with a camouflage cap, a Carhartt-style jacket and camouflage pants.

Searchers from Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, the Scott County Sheriff's Office, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Forest Service are on the mountain looking Peters.
