Green Country Schools Receive Top Education Honor

Jenks Southeast Elementary was presented with the 2014 National Blue Ribbon award Tuesday.

Superintendent Stacy Butterfield, Principal Lindy Risenhoover and 2nd grade teacher Lori Bagby traveled to Washington D.C. to accept the award from the U.S. Department of Education.

Southeast was recognized because of the school's high test scores and overall academic excellence.

Adair High School and Edmond Doyle Elementary in McAlester also received this top honor.
