Firefighters Blame Heater For Fire At South Tulsa Apartment Complex

Fire forced several residents of a south Tulsa apartment complex into the cold early Thursday. 

The Tulsa Fire Department got the call to the Riverbank Plaza Apartments in the 1000 block of East 54th Place at about 3:30 a.m. 

Firefighters said they found a heater on fire in one of the apartments and put it out quickly. 

They said no one was seriously injured. The Red Cross was called to assist residents who were forced out of their apartments.
