TULSA, Oklahoma - A street corner in downtown Tulsa is being transformed into a work of art.

Award-winning artist James Woodfill will create a LED installation at 3rd and Detroit. The working title of the project is "Fireflies."

This is the first in an ongoing series of temporary public art pieces that will be created downtown.

"This is a beautiful opportunity for an artist," James Woodfill said. "It allows you to take a little more risk than a permanent project would."

The installation will be unveiled April 2, 2015. It will stay on display for one year.
