Empty Bowls will help put food on the table for Oklahomans in need.

For $10, attendees received a bowl, a soup dinner, and participated in a silent auction to benefit the Community Food Bank of eastern Oklahoma.

Broken Arrow high school students crafted each of the ceramic bowls by hand.

"One out of every four children in the state of Oklahoma doesn't necessarily know where their next meal is coming from, and I think it's good for the community to be aware of that, but also the kids to be aware of that," said Broken Arrow art teacher, Jennifer Deal.

In Tulsa alone, nearly 37,000 children struggle with hunger.
