Editor's note: Earlier versions of this story reported that the driver of the van was suspected of being intoxicated. The OHP says that is incorrect, that the driver of the SUV was the driver who was being investigated for being under the influence.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of an SUV illegally parked on I-244 was under the influence when his vehicle was rear-ended early Wednesday.

Troopers said the crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-244 just east of Yale at 2:43 a.m.

The OHP reports Reginald Morris, 44, of Tulsa had parked his 1999 Chevy Tahoe illegally in the inside lane of I-244 with its lights off. According to the report, Greggory Lynn, 43, of Sapulpa was driving a 2000 Chevy van when it hit the rear of the Tahoe.

Morris was driving under the influence, according to the report.

The OHP says both drivers were injured and taken to the hospital.

Troopers said Morris was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
