Downtown Tulsa will get the Christmas spirit in a progressive lighting ceremony Sunday afternoon and evening. Four spots will start twinkling one by one during the second annual "Ready, Set, GLOW."

The Deco District, Winterfest, John Hope Reconciliation Park and Guthrie Green are participating in the event this year. News On 6 anchor Terry Hood and Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer will be there as 'Glow on the Green' is held from 3-7 p.m. in the Brady District.

At the Green, there will be an evening market and holiday extravaganza with live music including performances by Ideas in Ice, Council Oaks Men's Choir and, of course, a visit from Santa. The holiday market will feature art, apparel, baked goods, Oklahoma crafts and gift ideas. The "Lighting of the Green" will take place at 6 p.m.

Be sure to check out the addition of The Gathering Place Park Pod on the Guthrie Green splash pad. It includes animation, photos of the new park and a 5-minute virtual tour of what the property will look like in three years.

Full list of  "Ready, Set, GLOW" activities:

  • Reconciliation Park with “HOPE Floats for the Holidays” - 4:30-7 p.m. Lighting at 5:40 pm
